DM / 2026 // INTERFACE DESIGN + DEVELOPMENTARCH LINUX / WAYLAND LIMA, PERU

[ HELLO, I’M DIEGO ]

Digital Tools
Developer

I build web interfaces, digital products, and small tools that solve real problems.

My background is in graphic design, but I found my place writing code. Today I combine both sides of that experience: how something works and how it feels to use.

SELECTED WORK

Projects that started with a real need.

A few things I have built while learning, experimenting, and solving problems I ran into myself.

A lightweight emoji picker built with GTK4 and Rust for people using the Hyprland window manager.

02 WEB PRODUCTUTILITY

Shurl

A simple link shortener where I explored the full flow of a small web product.

Morf

A collection of CSS experiments for exploring different interface styles and understanding what makes each one work.

What I do and use

I am most comfortable where design and frontend meet, but I also enjoy stepping outside the browser to build tools with Rust and Linux.

HOW I LIKE TO WORKUnderstand the problem.
Then solve it well.
01

Frontend development

I build responsive, accessible interfaces with semantic HTML, modern CSS, TypeScript, and components.

TypeScript · Vue · Astro
02

Interface design

I work on hierarchy, interaction states, responsive behavior, and the small details between design and code.

Figma · CSS · Design systems
03

Web products

I can take an idea from its first structure to a working web product that is easy to maintain.

Product thinking · APIs · Delivery
04

Rust & desktop tools

I enjoy building small native utilities that solve a specific problem without unnecessary complexity.

Rust · GTK4 · Tooling
05

Linux & open source

I build for the Linux tools I use, publish my work, and learn from the people who try it.

Linux · Hyprland · GitHub

AI-assisted workflows

I use AI agents to explore, implement, and review faster while keeping decisions and verification in my hands.

I started in design. Then I found code.

I studied graphic design, but traditional design work never felt like the right long-term path for me. What stayed with me was the way it taught me to think about hierarchy, rhythm, contrast, and composition.

I now bring that perspective into software. I build web interfaces, experiment with Rust, and create open-source tools for the environments I use every day.

I am looking for a team where I can keep growing and contribute across frontend, product, and interface design. I am also open to selected freelance projects.
